Here's a concrete way to prepare children for the fundamentals of writing, from left to right directionality to pencil grip and beginning strokes! Slip a pattern board into the frame, put a pencil in the guide, then glide it along the pattern.

Children will re-create the motions used to form letters. The paper roll underneath gives students a real feel for the writing process.

You get 7 wooden pattern boards, each one measuring 3 1/4" x 10", and a wooden frame with removable paper roll.
