All in Order! - A sparkling idea for Literacy
You will need:
- 5 or 6 Talk Time Cards (depending on how many parts of the story you are sequencing)
- Cards to slot in illustrating a story, perhaps with written sequences or key words and pictures
What you do...
Add an extra dimension to this sequencing activity by recording sentences or dialogue to go with each part of the story. Insert a story card into each Talk Time Card and either record the sentences yourself or have the children record them (using character voices and sound effects for added drama!). Then put the Talk Time Cards in order so that the story is told correctly. This idea would work just as well with recipes, poems (matching the rhymes) or instructions.
